Job Application Process

If chosen, the applicant will receive a phone call from one of our Directors or Managers regarding the applied position. Job Benefits

The Dorchester County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs provides paid holidays, sick leave, and annual leave time to full-time employees. Health insurance and retirement benefits are also offered through the South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA). Requirements Upon Offer of Employment

  • Educational Credentials
  • Highschool Diploma/GED from an Accredited School
  • College Transcript If a Degree Is a Requirement of the Position
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Department of Social Services Check
  • 10-Year Driving Record Evidencing a Safe Driving History
  • Physical Exam Certifying Good Overall Health and Ability to Lift 50 Pounds
  • 2-Step Tuberculosis Test
  • Drug Screening
